2018 Conference
April 30 – May 2, 2018
The Westin Westminster
Denver, CO

Kathy Stack Keynote

Building on efforts launched under George W. Bush, the Obama Administration launched a series of initiatives that engage State and local governments, philanthropy, nonprofits and research organizations in building strong evidence about what interventions are most effective in meeting the needs of vulnerable populations. There are some exciting new developments on the horizon that could dramatically expand state and local capacity for innovation and evaluation, which include improving access to data across programs and levels of government in ways that protect individual privacy. This session will highlight progress over the last decade, discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead, and offer ideas for how government and non-government partners can co-create an evidence infrastructure to enable every community to devise tailored, evidence-based approaches to serving the needs of its citizens.
