The Journey to Scale: Incredible Years, LifeSkills Training and Nurse-Family Partnership

Advances in prevention science have led to a growing number of evidence-based programs. Yet, despite the evidence, the dissemination of effective programs continues to be a major challenge. Evidence alone does not necessarily lead to the widespread use of effective programs. The difficulty of moving from science to practice highlights the need to better understand the process of taking evidence-based programs to scale. This plenary session will bring together the developers of three widely used evidence-based programs who will describe their journeys in taking their programs to scale. They will address the challenges encountered along the way and how they were addressed, actions that promoted success, organizational support structures, policy efforts and funding strategies.
